FAQ
I use a range of mediums such as acrylics, alcohol inks, resin and encaustics.
Yes, all my original artworks come signed and include a certificate of authenticity, ensuring their originality and value.
Encaustic artworks are archival in nature. As with all fine artwork, it should not be placed in direct sunlight. Wax is fragile in temperatures below 40 degree Fahrenheit and starts to shift if the temperature exceeds 120 degrees Fahrenheit. If the encaustic painting is glassed, avoid direct sunlight as the glass can heat up and cause the painting to melt. On the other hand, if is not in direct sunlight and is in a stable temperature environment , there should be no problems with glass. We have numerous paintings which have glass and are perfectly fine when not in direct sunlight or under harsh lighting.
To clean the painting, take a soft 100% lint free cotton cloth and ‘polish’ the painting with the cloth. This is called buffing.
Alcohol inks are pigments which are suspended in alcohol. If these paintings are in direct sunlight, as with all fine art, they can fade with time. To avoid this from happening, each of my artwork is sealed with several layers of UV archival spray and varnished. Some paintings also have a resin coat which adds another protective layer on top.
I believe in using high quality products to enhance the beauty of my work and make it archival. I use resin which is non toxic, has no VOC or solvents. It does not yellow with time and is chemically engineered to remain clear. It has a high gloss finish which increases the attractiveness of the artwork.
I love using natural materials in my mixed media artworks! While I strive to use real gems and crystals, some pieces may include artificial ones to keep the artwork lightweight. I'll always let you know the details when you purchase.
Get creative with displaying your artworks! You can use traditional frames, open back frames, float frames (perfect for canvases), or place them on shelves and mantels. For smaller pieces, plate stands work great. Choose a display method that complements both the artwork and your space.
