Why I created this painting
 
I have always been fascinated by the mysteries of astronomy and the vast universe beyond our world. During the years I have lived in New Zealand, our home was near a secluded beach where night skies were astonishingly clear. With the naked eye, the Milky Way stretched across the darkness like a river of light.
When I began this painting I was simply following movement, color and intuition. The painting revealed its own identity as it evolved, and that is how it came to be named Nebula.
