To warm hearts in the winter or herald the first blossoms of springtime, this painting achieves a romantic and whimsical effect through a vibrant blend of alcohol inks on claybord. The stunning range of colors showcases the beauty of transition, as the blooms begin to fade from full glory, naturally altered but still uniquely beautiful. The allure of pale pink, deep orange, and majestic fuchsia, balanced by smokey depth, creates a captivating floral illusion of exquisite splendor.
Why I created this painting
The inspiration for this painting came from the symbolism of a bouquet given with love and joy. When someone special gives you flowers, you want to preserve that moment and keep the bouquet fresh forever. Yet time passes, the flowers slowly begin to fade.
It reminded me that love and relationships are much like a bouquet. They cannot remain beautiful on their own - they must be nurtured, cared for, and renewed with attention. This painting reflects that idea: that love like flowers must be tended to, in order to remain alive and meaningful.
