Why I created this painting
 
This painting captures the vast, powerful beauty of the Rocky Mountains - dramatic skies, rugged terrain, and the glowing earth tones that define the Colorado landscape. The sweeping clouds and the layered mountains reflect the grandeur and openness of the high alpine environment.
The inspiration came from my first visit to Colorado, when I travelled to the summit of Pikes Peak. At nearly 14,000 the air was crisp and the wind incredibly strong, yet the view was breathtaking. In the distance, snow covered peaks stretched across the horizon beneath clear, expansive skies. Standing there, looking towards the Rocky Mountain range, the sense felt both humbling and magnificent.
